About the Jake Garn Legacy Team

The Jake Garn Legacy Team came together during the COVID-19 pandemic with the desire to achieve a lasting tribute to now-retired Senator Jake Garn who turned 90 years old in October 2022. All are friends and/or former Garn U.S. Senate staff members.  We reached out to the Salt Lake City International Airport for opportunities and the one-of-a-kind art installation was agreed on. The team then sought private donations from a broader group of Garn friends to fund the tribute.
